Coach Lauren

Lauren Benesch Neidig is the program director and the head coach of the Chesapeake Synchronized Skating teams.
Nationally Appointed Technical Specialist for USFSA
Haydenettes: Lauren became a Senior Synchronized National Champion, represented the United States at the World Championships, skated as a member of Team USA over multiple years, skated in Harvard's Evening with Champions, skated in Nancy Kerrigan's Halloween on Ice, and skated at Rockefeller Center for the Today Show.
Miami University Senior: Lauren achieved Senior Varsity status her very first year as a freshman, represented the United States at the World Championships, and skated as a member of Team USA over multiple years.
Lauren is a member of the PSA and USFSA and has been coaching for 10 years. She holds a degree in physical therapy, is CPR certified, and was a student athletic trainer for the Miami University football, softball, and track teams.
None of the above would have been possible without the love and support of her father Edward. He is still around the rink to provide support and advice to skating families and attends competitions to cheer on the teams.
Lauren's husband Matt donates countless hours of tech support and general assistance to Lauren, the skaters, and to the families.

Coach Colin

Colin is an Ice Dancer currently competing as a member of Team USA with his partner Anastasia Cannuscio. He has been a member of Team USA for the past six seasons. He is a National and International medalist, and has competed on both the Junior and Senior Grand Prix circuit, as well as Junior Worlds.
He has been coaching for 8 years, and is excited to be retunring as a coach of the Chesapeake Synchronized Skating family. He assists the teams with skating skills and choreography, hoping to use his skill set in Ice Dance to enrich the program. He is looking forward to many more successful years with Chesapeake Synchro!

Coach Christie
Christie Moxley-Hutson is a Junior National, National and International and Junior World coach. She has been coaching for over 15 years in all disciplines and levels and specifically enjoys coaching stroking/power, moves in the field and ice dance. As a competitive skater Christie competed at the Senior International level in Ice Dance, the Senior National level in Pairs and the Sectional level in Freestyle.
USFS Gold Medal in: Ice Dance, Freedance, Moves in the Field, Freestyle, and Pairs. 
Co-Chair for the 2010 Eastern Sectional Championships, Chair of the Test committee for US Figure Skating and Athlete Representative for the AAC, Dance, International, Test, Technical and Dance Developmental Committees.

Coach Rachel

•  Member of USFSA and PSA insured, CER-A rated

•  6 years of coaching experience with group and private lessons

•  Teaches synchro classes and skills at various rinks

•  Competed for Chesapeake Synchro and placed 4th at the Eastern Sectional                           Championships

•  Favorite Element: Wheel

•  Experience as ice rink manager and is actively an ice technician

•  Degree in computer systems


Coach Bella

Isabella Cannuscio was a nationally competitive Ice Dancer for 11 years, and is a national and international medalist. She was a member of Team USA for 5 years, and competed on both the Junior and Senior Grand Prix circuits.  She has been coaching for 5 years, and coaches all disciplines and levels, but mostly enjoys coaching stroking and ice dance. Other than coaching, Isabella is involved with USFSA through committees such as the Dance Committee, Athletes Advisory Committee, and the Judges Committee.
